From Middle Radestrian ryns, from Old Radestrian rynre, inherited from Proto-Radic *rwinir, from Proto-Hirdic *suḡínis, from Proto-Laenkean *sugínis (“pig”). Cognate with Lusetian ruini, Riyan syn and Laefevian hŵinj.
