From Middle Radestrian Stvuvíra, from Old Radestrian Stlŭwijra, inherited from Proto-Radic *Stlıwiɣor, from Proto-Hirdic *Stləḇighós, from Proto-Laenkean *(s)tl̥bigʱós. Cognate with Ardian Šyvigo. Near doublet of slavue (“war”).
