Etymology

From Middle Radestrian Svuggra, from Old Radestrian Slŭɣɣor, inherited from Proto-Radic *Slıhɣor, from Proto-Hirdic *Sləhghós, from Proto-Laenkean *sl̥hgʱós. Cognate with Ardian Slygo and doublet of slavue. The Old Radestrian **Slŭwwra is expected, but is thought to have been influenced by other Radic languages.
