From Middle Radestrian nýnts, from Old Radestrian nȳmts, inherited from Proto-Radic *nȳmts, from Proto-Hirdic *nȳ́mtəs, from Proto-Laenkean *niwmtʼas. Cognate with Riyan nynt and Laefevian londa (“season”).
