This template can be used for uncertain etymologies, generating some text and appropriate categories.

Usage

{{unc|lfv}}.

Generates:

Uncertain.

Parameters

|1= (required): Specifies the language code of the language this etymology belongs to.

|notext=: Stops the template from including the "uncertain" text at all.

|nocap=: Removes the capital letter from the start of "uncertain"

|nocat=: Stops the template from including any auto-generated categories.

Categories

This template automatically adds categories regarding borrowing. For example, {{unc|lfv}} will automatically add the category "Laefevian terms with uncertain etymologies"
