Etymology 2
From Middle Radestrian kvars, from Old Radestrian kwars, inherited from Proto-Radic *kwars, of uncertain origin. Speculated cognate with Laefevian kwarga (“raven”), though the initial consonant correspondence is problematic; early borrowing has also been theorised. Ousted in the standard language by valkars due to its conflation with kvars (“bear”).
Noun
kvars anim (countable, genitive singular kvoru, nominative plural kvare, compound form kvar-, relational adjective kvoriș)
