From Middle Radestrian hrulus, from Old Radestrian hrŭlvs, inherited from Proto-Radic *hrılβs, from Proto-Hirdic *srɯ́lbhɯs, from Proto-Laenkean *srɯlbʱɯs. Cognate with Ardian rylbs, Lusetian rilp, Riyan șulb and Laefevian hralva (“doorhandle”).
