From Middle Radestrian plásspraþs, from Old Radestrian prāðspraþro, inherited from Proto-Radic *pārðsparθur (“leek/onion soup”), from *pārðs (“leek, onion”) + *spārθur (“soup”), equivalent to prázs (“leek”) + spráþs (“soup”). The loss of the /l/ is a dialectal development.
