Radestrian

Etymology

From Middle Radestrian ebress, from Old Radestrian ebreɣre, inherited from Proto-Radic *ebirhir (“goat”), of uncertain origin. Likely from Proto-Laenkean *pʼerh-, related to pras (“ram”), specifically *pʼepʼerhes, whence also Laefevian bêbir (“chamois”). The developments of Laenkean *pʼ into Radic in this instance would be unexplained.
