From Middle Radestrian hurǿșș, from Old Radestrian hurø̄šþs, inherited from Proto-Radic *huręšθs (“court”), from Proto-Hirdic *khuḏø̄́chthəs (“forum, court”), from Proto-Laenkean *kʰodæwcʰtʰæs. Cognate with Riyan kuŗiotta (“parliament”) and Laefevian kŵøst (“house of parliament”).
