From Middle Radestrian rnémre, from Old Radestrian rnēmre, inherited from Proto-Radic *rnēmir, from Proto-Hirdic *snḗmis, from Proto-Laenkean *(s)nepmes. Cognate with Riyan sím and Laefevian nempe (“skill”).
