Etymology
FromMiddle Radestrian łōr, fromOld Radestrian lōr, inherited fromProto-Radic *lōr, fromProto-Hirdic *lóḡus, fromProto-Laenkean *logos. The loss of initial [w] was a sporadic development in the back vowel environment (see also Template:wl-rad), cf. Template:wl-rad (“fifth”) and Template:wl-rad (“fist”), related words where it was maintained.
