From Middle Radestrian déș, from Old Radestrian dējre, inherited from Proto-Radic *dēɣir, from Proto-Hirdic *ḏḗghis. from Proto-Laenkean *dejgʱ-. Cognate with Riyan zeiŗ and Laefevian liz (“marrow”).
