Etymology
From Middle Radestrian zrehra, from Old Radestrian ðrehhræ, inherited from Proto-Radic *ðirhher, from Proto-Hirdic *dhirkkhés, from Proto-Laenkean *dʱirkʰkʰés. The nominative form was levelled with the reanalysed zri- stem, with the old nominative form later repurposed as the now doublet zreà (“genome”).
