From Middle Radestrian bróks, brókair, from Old Radestrian brōkair, inherited from Proto-Radic *brōkawir (“wasp”), from Proto-Hirdic *brōkákhwis, from Proto-Laenkean *ᵐbr̥wkʼń̥k(ʰ)wes. Cognate with Riyan brúgav and related to Laefevian ormiz.
