From Middle Radestrian stíms, from Old Radestrian stûms, inherited from Proto-Radic *stîms (“friend”), from Proto-Hirdic *stɯ̄́mɯs, from Proto-Laenkean *stɯjm-. Cognate with Ardian styms and Lusetian stīm.
