Radestrian

Etymology

From Middle Radestrian pósts, from Old Radestrian pōþts, inherited from Proto-Radic *pōθts, from Proto-Hirdic *pṓthtəs (“harvest”), from Proto-Laenkean *pʼowtʰtʼas (“mowing”). The expected Radic reflex is **pāθts, but was likely influenced by Proto-Riyanic *póttă.

Pronunciation

  • IPA(key)/puosts/
  • Rhyme: -uosts
