From Middle Radestrian réss, from Old Radestrian rēþþre, inherited from Proto-Radic *rēhθir, from Proto-Hirdic *rḗḵthis, from Proto-Laenkean *rejktʰes. Cognate with Laefevian eriht (“cloak”).
