From Middle Radestrian halra, from Old Radestrian haðra, inherited from Proto-Radic *haðor (“vein”), from Proto-Hirdic *hadhós (“jugular vein, artery, blood vessel”), from Proto-Laenkean *hm̥dʱós. Cognate with Riyan has (“artery”).
