Radestrian

Etymology

From Middle Radestrian alura, from Old Radestrian alwor, inherited from Proto-Radic *alɣor, from *alèšir (“autumn”) + *-ɣor (“augmentative”), equivalent to aleșa + -ua. The lack of metathesis in Old Radestrian is likely by analogy with Old Radestrian alešre.

Pronunciation

  • IPA(key)/ˈalu.a/
    • (standard, colloquial) Lua error in Module:languages at line 11: Language code must be string. Got nil.
  • Rhyme: -alu.a
  • Syllabification: a·lu·a, a·lua

Noun

alua inan (genitive singular alvusk, nominative plural alvore)

  1. (countable, in-world) The seventh month in the Laefevo-Radestrian calendar, equivalent to the Gregorian days of September 16 to October 15.
  2. (countable, out-of-world) September (the ninth month in the Gregorian calendar)
