From Middle Radestrian Hjidura, from Old Radestrian Hidwor, inherited from Proto-Radic *Hidɣor, from Proto-Hirdic *P̄iḏghós, *Hiḏghós, from Proto-Laenkean *pidgʱós, *hidgʱós. Cognate with Ardian Hirgo. Doublet of harua.
