Cardinal: sjavate (sjavaķeșier·) Cardinal noun: sjavatír | ||||
Etymology
From Middle Radestrian șavatre, from Old Radestrian šælatre, inherited from Proto-Radic *šælatir (“two tens”), from *šæls, cf. sjaus.
Pronunciation
Numeral
sjavate pl (genitive plural sjavatis)
- twenty (20)
Usage notes
- Followed by the short genitive plural.
- This is one of the handful of Radestrian numerals that are grammatically plural: sjavate (“twenty”), varște (“thirty”), atește (“forty”), lirește (“sixty”), aește (“eighty”) and aevaște (“ninety”). All other numerals are grammatically singular.
