Radestrian

Etymology

From Middle Radestrian pósts, from Old Radestrian pōþts, inherited from Proto-Radic *pōθts, from Proto-Hirdic *pṓthtəs (“harvest”), from Proto-Laenkean *pʼowtʰtʼas (“mowing”). The expected Radic reflex is **pāθts, but was likely influenced by Proto-Riyanic *póttă. Cognate with Riyan potta (“sixth month”) and Laefevian buhda (“sixth month”).

Pronunciation

  • Rhyme: -uosts
