From Middle Radestrian lýjhredzz, from Old Radestrian lȳjhredþre, inherited from Proto-Radic *lȳghirdθir (“quicksilver”), from *lȳjr (“life”) + *herdθir (“silver”), equivalent to lyejr + hradzs.
