Etymology

From Middle Radestrian njals, from Old Radestrian njælss, inherited from Proto-Radic *njælhs, from Proto-Hirdic *njǽlḵəs, from Proto-Laenkean *njælkæs. Cognate with Ardian nêl, Lusetian nill, Riyan njal and Laefevian njalke.
