Etymology

From Middle Radestrian nréș, from Old Radestrian nrējre, inherited from Proto-Radic *nrēɣir (“marrow”), from Proto-Hirdic *nəḏḗghis, from Proto-Laenkean *nadejgʱes. Cognate with Riyan nareiŗ (“pith”) and Laefevian naiženj (“hippocampus”).
