Cardinal: aește (aeșķeșier·) Cardinal adjective: dregeșeliș |
Etymology
From Middle Radestrian aeșavatre, from ae- (“quadri-”) + șavatre (“twenty”), equivalent to ae· + sjavate. Displaced the decimal déccus, from Proto-Radic *dǫhcıls.
Pronunciation
Numeral
aește pl (genitive plural aeștis)
- eighty (80)
Usage notes
- Followed by the short genitive plural.
- This is one of the handful of Radestrian numerals that are grammatically plural: sjavate (“twenty”), varște (“thirty”), atește (“forty”), lirește (“sixty”), aește (“eighty”) and aevaște (“ninety”). All other numerals are grammatically singular.
