From Middle Radestrian víra, from Old Radestrian vijra, inherited from Proto-Radic *βiɣor, from Proto-Hirdic *bhighós, from Proto-Laenkean *bʱigʱós. Cognate with Ardian vigo and Lusetian vīu.
