From Middle Radestrian béss, from Old Radestrian bǫþþs, inherited from Proto-Radic *bǫhθs, from Proto-Hirdic *bɤ̄́khthəs (“cart”), from Proto-Laenkean *ᵐbajkʰtʰas. Cognate with Riyan bjet.
