Radestrian
Alternative forms
- aojș (proscribed)
Etymology
From Middle Radestrian aujș, from Old Radestrian aujšjre, inherited from Proto-Radic *aujšjir, from *ôwr, equivalent to aor + -iș.
Pronunciation
Adjective
aujș (comparable, comparative hevúb aujș, aouobș)
Usage notes
- While the pronunciation /ɔiʃ/ is accepted and quite common, the spelling aojș is proscribed.
- This adjective does not have a standard adverbial form, and all instances where it would occur are otherwise rephrased.
- Attempts to create one include **aoí /ˈɔːiː/, **oí /ˈɔ.iː/ and **awí /ˈawiː/, all of which are generally regarded as sounding awkward.
