Etymology

From Middle Radestrian strêtt, strêcatt, from Old Radestrian scrêtt, inherited from Proto-Radic *scêrktht (“to condemn, to convict”), from Proto-Hirdic *skɛ̄́skət, from Proto-Laenkean *skæjskætʼ-. Doublet of strjácat.
