Etymology
From Middle Radestrian zrehra, from Old Radestrian ðrehhræ, inherited from Proto-Radic *ðirhher, from Proto-Hirdic *dhirkhkhés, from Proto-Laenkean *dʱirkʰkʰés. Doublet of zreà (“gene”), which was based on the old nominative form.
