Laefevian
Etymology
An old formation, probably from Pre-Proto-Laefevic *maɣpaðəh (“fourth sun, fourth day”), from Proto-Laenkean *mag- (“four”) and *pɯd- (“sun”). It is unlikely for the compound to have been formed in Proto-Laenkean already but the presence of *p indicates that it must have been formed before the loss of word-initial *p-.
Pronunciation
Noun
majpai (nominative dual majpaend, nominative plural majpaer)
- (in-world) The fourth day of the Laefevian week, except during the thirteenth month, hlwêhda.
- (out-of-world) Thursday
