Laefevian
Etymology
An old formation, probably from Pre-Proto-Laefevic *aspaðəh (“first sun, first day”), from Proto-Laenkean *ʔas- (“one”) and *pɯd- (“sun”). It is unlikely for the compound to have been formed in Proto-Laenkean already but the presence of *p indicates that it must have been formed before the loss of word-initial *p-.
Pronunciation
Noun
aspai (nominative dual aspaend, nominative plural aspaer)
- (in-world) The first day of the Laefevian week, except during the thirteenth month, hlwêhda.
