From Middle Radestrian tomiș, from Old Radestrian tomišjre, inherited from Proto-Radic *tams, *tòmišjir, from Proto-Hirdic *cáməs. from Proto-Laenkean *cʼam- (“heart”). Cognate with Laefevian jam (“heart”).
