From Middle Radestrian lêçus, from Old Radestrian lêjcŭls, inherited from Proto-Radic *lêjcıls, from Proto-Hirdic *lɛ̄́jkjələs, from Proto-Laenkean *læjɟkjælæs. Ousted the competing Middle Radestrian lirevarubeșavatre in normative language. Cognate with Laefevian hleišilta.
