Laefevian
Etymology
An old formation, probably from Pre-Proto-Laefevic *(C)rwaβpaðəh (“second sun, second day”), from Proto-Laenkean *rwab- (“two”) and *pɯd- (“sun”). It is unlikely for the compound to have been formed in Proto-Laenkean already but the presence of *p indicates that it must have been formed before the loss of word-initial *p-. The origin of the initial h- remains unexplained.
Pronunciation
Noun
hrwôpai (nominative dual hrwôpaend, nominative plural hrwôpaer)
- (in-world) The second day of the Laefevian week, except during the thirteenth month, hlwêhda.
- (out-of-world) Tuesday
