Template:inherited
Uses Lua: |
Shortcut
{{inherit}} |
This template renders a link to a word, similarly to {{m}}
, but automatically handles adding categories. It is intended to be used in etymology sections for words that are inherited from an earlier stage of the same language.
This should not be used for words that are borrowed or derived. That means there should be an unbroken chain of inheritance. If the chain is broken, consider using {{borrowed}}
({{bor}}
) or {{derive}}
({{der}}
).

Generates:
- From Proto-Laenkean *cel-.
