Riyan

Etymology

From Old Riyan -jaŗ, from Proto-Riyanic *-jăḡă, from Proto-Hirdic *-jəŋjəs, from Proto-Laenkean *-jVŋjæ (diminutive). Though the Proto-Laenkean form has a flexible vowel, the productive diminutive suffix passed down to Riyan fossilized with the vowel /a/.
