From Old Riyan fuld, from Proto-Riyanic *fúlădă, from Proto-Hirdic *p̄ɯl-, from Proto-Laenkean *pɯl- (“to be”). The present, past and imperative inflected forms are from the Hirdic verb Proto-Hirdic *snat- (“to become”).
