This template can be used for onomatopoetic etymologies, generating some text and appropriate categories.

Usage

{{onom|kil}}.

Generates:

Onomatopoeic.

Parameters

|1= (required)
Specifies the language code of the language this etymology belongs to.
|notext=
Stops the template from including the "onomatopoeia" text at all.
|nocap=
Removes the capital letter from the start of "onomatopoeia"
|nocat=
Stops the template from including any auto-generated categories.

Categories

This template automatically adds categories regarding borrowing. For example, {{onom|kil}} will automatically add the category "Kilitic onomatopoeias"
