Riyan

Etymology

From Old Riyan βǽnȳmtəs, analogous to vainiş (“new”) + nynt (“year”). Radestrian vanints is derived in the same way, though it's unsure whether they are cognates from the same Proto-Hirdic term, or whether the term was created in the Old Riyan period as a calque of the Proto-Radic equivalent.
