Laefevian
Etymology
From Proto-Laenkean *ʔagarmas (“a type of tuber”). The origin of the onset k- in kaom remains unexplained but an irregular fortition of the initial glottal stop seems like the most likely explanation. Cognate with Radestrian ráms (“turnip”).
