Etymology
From Old Riyan lȳșp, from Proto-Riyanic *lwís̱pe (“image”), from Proto-Hirdic *lwic̱khwés (“image, sight”), from Proto-Laenkean *lwickʰwés (“gleaming”). Cognate with Radestrian lyșa (“image”) and Laefevian loskwe (“spark”).
