Etymology
From Middle Radestrian aevarubeșavatre, from ae- (“quadri-”) + varube- (“semi-”) + șavatre (“twenty”), equivalent to ae· + varbe· + sjavate. Displaced the decimal frǿcus, from Proto-Radic *ɸęrcıls.
Pronunciation
Numeral
aevaște pl (genitive plural aevaștis)
- ninety (90)
Usage notes
- Followed by the short genitive plural.
- This is one of the handful of Radestrian numerals that are grammatically plural: sjavate (“twenty”), varște (“thirty”), atește (“forty”), lirește (“sixty”), aește (“eighty”) and aevaște (“ninety”). All other numerals are grammatically singular.
