From Old Riyan faorm, from Proto-Riyanic *fjɤ́rmi, from Proto-Hirdic *p̄ɤ̄́rmis (“time”), from Proto-Laenkean *pajrmes (“time period”). Cognate with Radestrian hremía and Laefevian êrme (“weather”).
