Etymology 1
From Middle Radestrian audziș, from Old Radestrian awdzišjre, inherited from Proto-Radic *agdzer, *agdzišjir, from Proto-Hirdic *aḡgés, from Proto-Laenkean *m̥ggés. Displaced Old Radestrian hirišjre, from Proto-Radic *herir, *hirišjir (“white”). The comparative was reanalysed as a heavy stem.
