Etymology

From Old Riyan fulk, from Proto-Riyanic *fúlkă, from Proto-Hirdic *p̄ɯ́lkəs (“small creature”), from Proto-Laenkean *pɯlkʼas (“being”). Cognate with Radestrian ilks (“goblin”) and Laefevian alga (“fairy”).
