Etymology

From Proto-Laefevic *bʱi- (female prefix), a prefixed zero-grade form form Proto-Laenkean *bʱaj- (“woman”).

Usage notes

• If used with nouns referring to people, the prefixed noun typically becomes derogatory in meaning.
