Riyan

Etymology

From Old Riyan fānþ, from Proto-Riyanic *fahánṯă, from Proto-Hirdic *p̄ahǽnṯəs (“people, folk”), from Proto-Laenkean *pŋ̊hǽntæs, a collective noun from *peŋ- (“to beget”). Cognate with Radestrian háns (“race, species”) and Laefevian ebent (“nation, people”).
